BIOGRAPHY

Hi, My Name is Marcus Bert a.k.a DJ Detinator.

Since starting in 2003, we immediately caught attention from major labels through our record company.

My first main artist out of a group of about 12 was Mel Da City Boy, who landed a spot on The Day Hell Broke Loose Pt. 2. This is the album that put Houston on the map with songs like Still Tippin, and Back Then featuring Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and Slim Thug. Mel landed a song with Mike Jones on the Album due to some of our first, very early, attempts at recording and his friendship with Grammy Award Winning Engineer Towdown. I served as the Producer and Engineer for the 4 tracks that would become the demo for Towdown.

After an exstensive battle with schizophrenia, I have reemerged (due to encouragement and support from R. Exclusive) in 2015 with the release of my first mixtape in almost 10 years called Purple Aliens. We immediately followed in the following spring of 2016 with Purple Aliens 2. Both were originally Hard Copy Releases and received great applause from the Missouri City Area of Houston and whoever else it could reach. Our fans were passing our music around and sharing it with Friends at work, home, and even school.

In 2016 I spearheaded the creation of the website 713DJD.com which serves as an access point to our music, videos, amazing photo gallery, and promotions of our music. This avenue was also crucial in me landing a role as a premiere DJ on Houstons Award Winning Slaughtahouze.com Radio Station!

I spun every Saturday from 4-5 pm (cst) with an amazing mix of underground artist’s music submitted to me, then slowed down or “Screwed” to give it that Houston feel! This opportunity is greatly due to station owner Kevin Soloman a.k.a Vic Newmann’s faith in me. When he first gave me the opportunity I told him I would take the opportunity and turn it into a tidal wave. I can proudly say we are award winning and have one of the largest fanbases of internet radio in the city of Houston!
