TOP 5 SUBMISSIONS For Week 2 July

By teckzilla Word Is Bond

We are still dedicated to showcasing the best tracks/videos from the underground by searching far and wide in order to bring you our weekly list. It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5. Now that is what we call dedication, so sit back relax and get familiar with these acts.
Remember, don’t forget to support them by sharing their works.

NOTE: This will be the last Top 5 Submissions as the segment has been upgraded to 10 tracks starting from next week. This is to cover more talented acts out there.

Wu Baby by Jai Nitai Lotus

Jai Nitai Lotus launches his latest video “Wu Baby”, off his recently released album “Affirmations” (album available here). The song is a shout-out to a Higher Power–which is rich in love, and greater than any man-made fear, division or fanaticism. The images portray the vastness of nature in contrast to human structure.

Radicule. – Gettin’$$$.

Producer Radicule flips a Killa Cam acapella into something beautiful on his new record titled “Gettin’ $$$”. He fused what he calls glossy lo-fi elements against shimmering chords from keyboardist Miki Howard and the result is pure dopeness.

illgod – Show You Something (Prod. Black Intelligence)

Producer/rapper Illgod goes retrospective on his new release “Show You Something”. It is an unofficial remix to Boogey’s “Show You Something”; produced by Black Intelligence.

Feelø, Harman – Adíos

Feelø teams up with Harman for his newest record titled “Adios”. A Latin-tinged, love-laden groovy cut.

Ramengvrl – Ca$hmere

Straight out of Indonesia comes rising rapper Ramengvrl who wraps up the top 5 sub with an upbeat swagged out single titled “Ca$hmere”. She adds some insight into the creation of the song below

I wanted to make a feel-good type song, just brag about yourself but with attitude. I feel like these days people got money but don’t really know how to flex and maintain their flex. Like ok you got cash but don’t be stupid, why you cop those Yeezy’s but don’t spare money for your basic needs? Something like that. ”

She started off not even liking hip-hop until listening to Kanye West, then ventured into Tyler the Creator, Charli XCX and M.I.A. territory where you can see the influences clearly in her music. Kind of pop, kind of rap, totally badass. Ramengvrl is trying to break into new markets, leaving a blazing trail behind her all the way back to Jakarta.
